Robert Pave, Esq.

Mr. Robert Pave was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1939, the son of an American father, and spent the war years with his mother and sister as a prisoner of the Nazis. In early 1945, he came to the U.S. in a repatriation exchange with the Nazis.

Robert grew up in Albuquerque, NM and joined the U.S. Marine Corps at age 17. After discharge, he attended the University of New Mexico, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree (combined curriculum: Architecture and Fine Arts) in 1965. Robert then moved to California, where he had served in the Marines. He began night school at Southwestern University, where he obtained a scholarship from Farmer’s Insurance (all years) and graduated with a Juris Doctor’s degree cum laude, in 1971.

Robert Pave was a solo practitioner in Sherman Oaks and Encino until 1982, doing a combination of: Plaintiff’s BI, Criminal Defense, White Collar Crimes, Dissolution of Marriage, U.S. Customs, Contracts and Business (partnerships and corporations). He then entered into a series of law partnerships where he was a (or “the”) principal partner, transitioning into insurance defense work. All the while, Robert accepted selected plaintiff’s, Customs and criminal defense work. In 2012, he briefly retired but soon came out of retirement because it did not suit his work ethic. He also did consulting/appearance work for various law firms up to this time.

Fortune had him trying jury cases and several court cases, almost from the outset. Robert tried 64 insurance defense cases and approximately 12-14 other trials. In the process, Mr. Pave became knowledgeable of Anatomy, Neurology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry/Psychology, Mechanisms of Injury, Accident Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and associated treatments for disorders of the forgoing medical areas.

Robert moved from San Francisco, where he lived for 17 years, to Piedmont, where he has lived since 2006. He has two adult sons, both in the Computer Technology field, and two grandchildren in the 6th grade. Robert’s wife of 50 years passed away two years ago. He likes to spend his leisure time with his family, gardening, and indulge his lifelong interest in photography.
